THE CITY OF COURSE HERE, MAKING MAJOR INVESTMENTS INTO THINGS LIKE AIRPORTS AND THOSE TYPES OF THINGS, SO IT'S IMPORTANT FOR US TO OF COURSE SUPPORT THESE TYPES OF OCCUPATIONS AS WE MOVE FORWARD. THIS ALSO, YOU KNOW, LOCAL PLAN ALLOWS US TO AS A BOARD AND AS A REGION TO BE ABLE TO HAVE SOME NORTH STAR ASSOCIATED WITH WHERE WE ARE LOOKING TO MAKE OUR INVESTMENT. I STILL HAVE SOME VERY YOUNG-ISH RETIREES, ACTUALLY CITY EMPLOYEES, TOO, THAT RETIRE AND THEY ARE STILL IN THEIR 50S THAT COULD GO ON AND DO OTHER THINGS. IF WE COULD KIND OF LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT'S OUT THERE, WHAT EMPLOYERS ARE LOOKING FOR, I THINK THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL, TOO. SAME WITH TYPISTS AND WORD PROCESSORS. THOSE USED TO BE GREAT JOBS, AND DATA ENTRY CLERKS. THEY WERE REPLACED BY TECHNOLOGY. TODAY, DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE GETTING REPLACED BY TECHNOLOGY. ACCOUNTANTS, BOOKKEEPERS, STOCK TRADERS, CASHIERS, EVEN POSTAL WORKERS ARE GETTING REPLACED. TRAVEL AGENTS NO LONGER EXIST. GOOD LUCK FINDING A TRAVEL AGENT. SO I'M LOOKING AT THIS LIST AND MY TAKE-AWAY IS THAT I'M REFRESHED -- NOT REFRESHED, I'M OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THIS LIST BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE THESE ARE FUTURE-PROOF. IT'S A COMBINATION OF ALL OF THESE THINGS THAT ARE WORKING HOPEFULLY IN SYNC. THE MORE OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE CAN FIND INTERSECTIONS BETWEEN HOUSING AND WORKFORCE OR A CTE PROGRAM AND WORKFORCE, THAT REALLY DOES INCREASE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE SOMETHING THAT THEY CAN RELY ON. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF KIDS THAT WILL BE GRADUATING AT THE END OF MAY THAT WILL NOT NECESSARILY KNOW WHAT THEIR NEXT STEP IS.
