THE POSTSOLICITATION FOR THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR TERMINAL A AND B IS ABOUT THE RENOVATIONS THAT WE'RE DOING IN TERMINAL A AND TERMINAL B SO THAT THE ENTIRE AIRPORT SYSTEM LOOKS THE SAME WAY.

SO WE ARE ALREADY STARTING THE DESIGN WORK TO REVAMP TERMINAL A AND TERMINAL B. AND THEN THE LAST ONE IS A PRESOLICITATION FOR CENTRAL RECEIVING AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER FOR SAN ANTONIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, AND I'LL GET INTO A LITTLE BIT OF DISCUSSION ABOUT THAT, BECAUSE THAT'S NEW FOR US. BUT AS WE ESTABLISH NEW DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE WAY WE DO THINGS HERE AT THE AIRPORT, I'LL TELL YOU WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT, NOT ONLY FROM A SAFETY, A SECURITY, BUT THE STERILIZATION OF MATERIALS THAT COME IN AND OUT OF THE AIRPORT.

THE POSTSOLICITATION FOR THE AIRFIELD DESIGN YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR ME SAY ASEIP, HERE IT CALLED AS ASEIP A LOT. IT WAS 40 MILLION ON THE CONTRACT VALUE, AND THE FUNDING SOURCES FOR THAT COME FROM FAA GRANTS AND AVIATION CAPITAL FUNDS. WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE ABOUT THE ASEIP IS THIS IS THE PRELIMINARY WORK THAT WE ARE DOING AS YOU LOOK AT THE TWO PARALLEL RUNWAYS WHICH IS 13 RIGHT AND 13 LEFT AND GETTING TO A PARALLEL CONFIGURATION SO WE CAN INCREASE OUR OVERALL CAPACITY OF OUR OPERATIONS. WE'RE NOT JUST THINKING ABOUT 2025.

A LOT OF CREDIT TO TIM AND SAM AND THE ENTIRE TEAM ON THE DEVELOPMENT SIDE FOR WHAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING ON THIS TO GET US PREPARED FOR THE DIRECTION THAT WE'RE HEADING IN 2040 AND IN 2050 TO ENSURE THE AIRPORT IS READY FOR THE FUTURE GROWTH THAT WE'RE EXPERIENCING.

IT IS THE DECOMMISSIONING AND WORKING TOWARDS MAKING 422 INTO A TAXIWAY, AND THAT IS IMPORTANT TO US BECAUSE, LIKE I MENTIONED, NOT ONLY DOES IT ADD CAPACITY, IT'S SUPPORTED BY THE FAA, AND THE FAA WANTS US TO MOVE IN THAT DIRECTION. BUT THE LAST PIECE, IT'S -- YOU KNOW, IT REMOVES THE DECONFLICTION THAT WE HAVE WITH RANDOLPH, AND THAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR US AS WE WANT OUR MILITARY EFFORTS TO CONTINUE TO GROW, I KNOW JEFF AND I HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH JEFF WEBBSTER AND MANY OTHERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF TAKING THIS FROM SA TO DC, SO WE'RE PUT AG LOT OF DOCUMENTS TOGETHER, SO FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT GO FROM SA TO DC CAN TALK ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF WHY WE'RE MOVING IN THIS DIRECTION. IT WAS A SOLICITATION THAT WENT OUT AS AN RFQ, IT'S A $35 MILLION CONTRACT AND THE FUNDING SOURCES FOR THAT ARE THE AVIATION CAPITAL FUNDS.

THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT TO THIS SOLICITATION IS REALLY BRINGING A AND B UP TO WHAT C'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE, AND I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? BECAUSE IT ALIGNS WITH C, IT IMPLEMENTS THE AIRPORT DESIGN STANDARDS THAT WE NOW HAVE ESTABLISHED.

IF YOU HAVEN'T DRIVEN BY THE AIRPORT LATELY, YOU CAN START TO SEE SOME OF THE COLOR SCHEME CHANGES WITH THE GROUND FACILITY, SOME FENCING CHANGES AS WE START TO, YOU KNOW, DEMOLISH THE AREA FOR THE PARKING GARAGE AS WE BUILD OUT THE NEW TERMINAL C. ALL OF THOSE WILL BE IN SYNC WITH THE DESIGN STANDARDS. THIS IS THE EFFORT TO TAKE TERMINAL A AND TERMINAL B IN THAT SAME DIRECTION WHILE UPGRADING AND MODERNIZING MANY ELEMENTS OF THE SECURITY CHCHECK POINT, THE TICKETING COUNTERS AND LONG-TERM CONCESSIONS AS WE LOOK AT THE WORK WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING IN TERMINAL A AND B. IT ELEVATES THE PASSENGER EXPERIENCE, WHETHER WE'RE LOOKING AT RESTROOMS OR WHETHER WE'RE LOOKING AT HOLD ROOMS, BRINGING THOSE INTO, YOU KNOW, WHAT IS TODAY 1900 SQUARE FEET FOR 727, 717 PLANES, WE'RE GOING TO BRING THAT UP TO, YOU KNOW, LARGE PLANES SO WE CAN HAVE 3,000 SQUARE FEET IN EACH ONE OF THOSE GATE AREAS.

AND IT ADDRESSES A NUMBER OF INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS THAT WE HAVE, WHETHER THAT BE MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING. THERE WAS QUITE THE RESPONSE TO THIS EVALUATION. WE HAD 13 RESPONDENTS, WHICH WAS -- I MEAN, WE COULD HAVE HIRED ANY OF THEM.

THEY ALL ARE VERY CREDIBLE, INTERNATIONAL WELL-KNOWN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN FIRMS ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. I TOLD SOMEBODY ON THE TEAM THE OTHER DAY, WE HAD MORE FOR TERMINAL A, TERMINAL B RENOVATIONS THAN WE HAD FOR TERMINAL C ON THE RESPONDENTS, SO PEOPLE ARE EXCITED ABOUT BEING HERE IN SAN ANTONIO AND WORKING AS WE CONTINUE TO PROGRESS FORWARD WITH THE HELP THAT YOU ALL HAVE GIVEN US.

WE BROUGHT THAT DOWN TO A TOTAL OF EIGHT AS WE LOOKED AT EVERYONE THAT WAS IN THERE. AND WE BROUGHT ALL EIGHT INTO A ROOM AND

A LOT OF THESE TEAMS HAVE DONE WORK NOT ONLY IN LAGUARDIA AND TERMINAL B, FOR A LOT OF REDEVELOPMENTS THEY'VE DONE, CAET AND C & G ENGINEERING WHICH IS BASED IN SAN ANTONIO AS WELL.

THEY PUT A GOOD COMPLEMENT OF A TEAM TOGETHER AND WE'RE EXCITED TO BEGIN WORKING WITH THEM. ON THE PRESOLICITATION BRIEFING FOR CENTRALIZED RECEIVING AND THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER, WE CALL THAT THE CRDC. YOU'LL HEAR US SAY IT THAT WAY AS WE TELL YOU, WE HAVE NEW DESIGN STANDARDS. ESTIMATED CONTRACT IS 11.25, A 10-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ONE FIVE-YEAR RENEWAL OPTION AND THE FUNDING SOURCES WILL COME OUT OF THE O & M FUNDS. THE CRDC EVALUATION COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF MR. JEFF COYLE, THE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, MICHAEL GARNIER, THE DIRECTOR OF AVATION, NICK KNEEL, VIRGINIA WHO OVERSEES CONTRACTS AND -- AT THE AIRPORT AND ERNESTO ORTIZ FOR TSA.
